Saturday April 13th we welcome three guests to Francis St, including a special return live show from RAMZi and Melbourne debut for fellow Canadian, LNS & London’s Toma Kami.
Originally from Calgary, Laura Sparrow aka LNS has been an integral part of Vancouver’s underground for some time now. When her peers preferred hazy, laid-back house & disco, Sparrow reached for classic techno and her DJing reflects the pioneering years of classic Detroit and UK, a style is mirrored in her production, with cross-over to electro, IDM and ambient textures for Sotofett’s Wania, Jayda G’s Freakout Cult & her own LNS label.
We’ll also be taken on a very exciting second visit to the mutant-tropical fifth world of RAMZi (Live)! The Montreal producer will again be conjuring dub, balearic, house and video game inspirations, in to her own sonic landscape, which has found home across labels like 12th Isle, Rvng Intl, Mood Hut, 1080p, Total Stasis & her own FATi Records.
Rounding things off will be London-based, French DJ, producer & label head Toma Kami. The face of Man Band Records, monthly Rinse FM host & producer behind weapons on Livity Sound & more, hear why Toma is praised by DJs & punters alike the world over for his skill in the booth.
Support from Andee Frost & Otologic.
